Christmas, Coming Soon
Wow! We are closer to Christmas than we expect. I mean not that I mind, but can you believe it! Before you know it the year will be over. I'm not a Christmas person, really. My daughter on the other hand has a jingle bell mug for when the holiday comes. Talk about Christmas-chick.

My Black Friday Experience
So, Black Friday started at 8 pm today at the Wellington Mall. My daughter was already there since 7 the lines where just so long. But, the prices were so good! My daughter spent 60 dollars total getting: one of here favorite band sweaters and shirt plus a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans. Now daily these things are about 30 dollars by themselves. I could already hear my wallet breaking! But, today not only did I knock off a couple of things on her wish list, but I also got her somethings she wanted. I'm just on a role today!

Thanksgiving
One of the best holidays of the year. I mean how could you hate the sound of: people laughing, food sizzling on the stove ,and the sound of kids giggling at the silly shapes they make in the cookie dough.Brings music to my ears. Just the thought of having family over, and getting to catch up, and tell all time famous family jokes. Let it all sink in folks, the years almost up.
Happy Thanksgiving Classmates, and Professor.

Kairos
Kairos (in writing) try to make use of the particular moment or trying to capture the particular moment in words what will be immediately relevant, suitable and pleasing for a particular audience. Kairos is timeliness, politeness, stable awareness of the linguistic situation or the choices that open moments of chances. Kairos is making good luck, like when you fall into the arms of the man you love after a long day at work.

Pathos
Because understanding is a matter of feeling as well as perceiving, pathos can give access to nonlogical, but not necessarily nonrational, ways of knowing. Pathos elucidate what is deeply at stake in an issue, what matters to the whole person. Pathos help readers see through the writer's eyes. Of course, that is why arguements are often improved through the use of stories that make problems come alive or sensory details the allow us to view, feel, and taste the reality of problems. Opening narratives to evoke pathos can be powerfully effective, but they are also risky. If they are a little too personal, to self revolving, or even too sentimental they can backfire. So, beware.

Ethos
Ethos filter the projected image of the writer as a person will be subtly altered. To make an effective Ethos you must: be knowledgeable about your situation, be fair, build to your audience, and demonstrate professionalism.
The primary way to earn credibility, is to be plausible, that is to vacillate from a strong base of knowledge, to have a hand at the examples.
The secondary way to earn credibility, is to be fair by demonstrating fairness and courtesy to alternative views you will be able to earn credibility.
The tertiary way to earn credibility, is to build a bridge to your audience, by showing the audience that you are a trustworthy person and building up your reputation in a way.
And lastly, to earn credibility you must simply proofread, use careful and appropriate style editing, accurate documentation, and adherence to genre convention expected by your audience all contribute the image of the person behind the writing. Or, in other words demonstrate professionalism.
Those are perfect ways to enhance your Ethos.

Black Friday vs. Cyber Monday
Choose Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
Well let's just say I don't really vote for either.
Why? Well I believe that those days are one of the most dangerous days of the year.
I mean think about it, people speeding to make it to a store just in time, people pushing and shoving, fighting and arguing. All that over some purse! Fascinating how us humans, will do anything for material things, actually not how fascinating, but how sad is it? I'm pretty sure some of us aren't like that well we can be without knowing.

APA Format
When I thought I was just getting things. Well I guess I was dead wrong. This APA Format will be the death of me! Not only can't I do it. But, I can't find anyone else who can do it for me to learn from that person. It has nothing to do with my teacher. It is just me. I just find the concept very complex. I mean I'm trying really hard and I really want to pass this. Of course because I like a challenge. Well, I at least I thought I did. Hopefully what I'm doing is write, because if not, I'm definatley going to look like a lost student. But for now I'll just keep trying.

Can't Wait Till the Holidays Come
Can you believe it at least seven more weeks till the holidays!
I don't even know what my daughter wants.
Probably those concert tickets her and her garrolous friends have been talking about non stop.
Or maybe even that sweater that her favorite singer has.
All the things she wants, hopefully I can narrow it down. But my main question should be, what are you guys doing for the holidays?

Elections, Not Going According to Plan
So I was one of the unlucky voters who voted for one particular party. I mean it's ok that he lost, I'm not going to go on some rant spree and destroy any of the other party voters. After all, that is not me. For one, even if my party did lose, it's not like me going on a rant would make him win. Honestly, I think that no matter who won and who lost, at the end of the day their is honestly nothing, absolutely nothing we can do about it. Unless there happened to be a miss count in that case there is something we can do about it.

Midterm Nightmare
Midterms is so stressful, you have a ton of work and barely enough time to complete it. Not only do I agree. But, so does my daughter,we had an hour long conversation on how stressful midterms are. But, I actually have a few tips on how to maintain a calm spirit during these times.
Tip Number 1: Don't Cram
Don't wait until the night before to cram in all those notes from weeks before. Unless, that is the only time you get to study then go for it. But, never cram in all those tough notes!
Tip Number 2: Disconnect
For all my social media addicts this might be tough. Disconnect from all social medias, not for good. But, maybe just delete the app for the time being, just to stay focus.
Tip Number 3:Attend review sessions, study groups
Try your hardest to attend study groups, and those types of events. For those who can't make it don't worry come up with a method of study that is compatibly with your schedule. But for those who spend that free time, taking naps. I would advice you to make a bed time and come to the study group sessions.
Tip Number 4: Skim
Right before you take your test it is always helpful to skim through your notes. Most people say that's a myth, but it just real depends on who you are and how you function. Going through all your notes might not be possible. But, just fitting in a few a extra things here and there will really help you.
Tip Number 5 (last tip): Relax
A major thing that sometimes throws people off in the middle of the exam is the worry of not passing. If you keep your mind clear or far from those thoughts. You'll have a higher chances of passing then you did when you were worrying.
