Post 27 Using Wiki in the class
The class wiki is a great tool.I did not like it at first because I'm not a computer person
but its a very helpful tool. I don't need to be in the classroom, or email the professor to check on what assignment is due. With the class wiki everything is at your fingertip.I personally like it because if I miss an assignment I don't have to call a classmate, or email the professor to ask what was due on certin date. I can always go back to the class wiki to make up assignment, and more.

Using Blogging in the Class
Using Blogger in class is incredibly easy. Of course, I did not agree the first time I got a hold of it. But, with a little bit of help, it just gets easier and easier. Indeed I had the help of my active blogging daughter, she made me feel slightly dumb. But, you and I both know that I'm not. But, the way she explained it at first, was confusing. But, if you see the results, I got the hang of it. I like that we also use it among the class and if we please, we can also use it outside of school. I enjoy the new vicarious learning I have with the some what new web app. This is not just to blog, but it also helps us improve our writing skills, and if you're on of those I read what I write/type (me) it also helps you with your speech skills. Which is great since we all speak and most of the time we want or strive to sound professional. But, all in all I adore using Blogger in class.

Using Google Drive In Class
Using Google Drive in class is amazing. You get to save things with out a flash drive! That's extremely beneficial. Especially if you lost your flash drive or you didn't save your work onto your flash drive. All you have to do is save it to Google drive and boom that Plan B should have been Plan A from the start! Google Drive is also good for taking and saving notes while studying. I usually will type my notes into a flash card kind of format, so I can have the question, or word. Then two lines under I have the answer. I thought it would be a neat way to save paper. And of course with the help of Google Drive I was able to make that possible.

Letting My Daughter Go to Warped Tour?
Ok, my daughter is a big rock and roll fan and I'm not. But, she wants to go to Warped Tour with her friend and her mom. Her friend (Savannah)'s mom likes her kind of music which I see my daughter wishes I would to. But, I'm not sure if I should let her go. I mean this even is in the summer, so I have enough time to gain some trust between Savannah's mom and me. But, I'm just kinda confused. I mean she will probably hate her life if she doesn't go I mean she has never gone. And, I know how much she just wants me to let her go to those things, I hope if my final answer turns out to be no,she won't be sad.

Book-loving Daughter
Ever since the day she could read, she never stopped. My daughter is just a book crazed child. Most teen now a days won't put their phones down at dinner. She won't put her book down. Once for Christmas she got a series (of two books) that she really wanted and she finished the first one by 6pm. I gad to ground her from reading. Now she wants me to get her a yearly subscription to her favorite magazine, Alternative Press. She wants to work for them when she gets older. I just love her dedication and her passion to read. Isn't she lovely?

Cyber Monday
Today is Cyber Monday and I'm mentally stuck. My daughter of age fourteen wants me to but her a Turtle. I mean I don't mind it. But, she also wants these Star Wars shoes that she has been non-stop talking about. I got her a Turtle when she was six actually I bought her two but they died. I know she will be able to care for them. I'm just not so sure. This has nothing to do with her behavior or school grades. I just honestly don't know if I should buy her one.
Any advice?

Christmas, Coming Soon
Wow! We are closer to Christmas than we expect. I mean not that I mind, but can you believe it! Before you know it the year will be over. I'm not a Christmas person, really. My daughter on the other hand has a jingle bell mug for when the holiday comes. Talk about Christmas-chick.

My Black Friday Experience
So, Black Friday started at 8 pm today at the Wellington Mall. My daughter was already there since 7 the lines where just so long. But, the prices were so good! My daughter spent 60 dollars total getting: one of here favorite band sweaters and shirt plus a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans. Now daily these things are about 30 dollars by themselves. I could already hear my wallet breaking! But, today not only did I knock off a couple of things on her wish list, but I also got her somethings she wanted. I'm just on a role today!

Thanksgiving
One of the best holidays of the year. I mean how could you hate the sound of: people laughing, food sizzling on the stove ,and the sound of kids giggling at the silly shapes they make in the cookie dough.Brings music to my ears. Just the thought of having family over, and getting to catch up, and tell all time famous family jokes. Let it all sink in folks, the years almost up.
Happy Thanksgiving Classmates, and Professor.

Kairos
Kairos (in writing) try to make use of the particular moment or trying to capture the particular moment in words what will be immediately relevant, suitable and pleasing for a particular audience. Kairos is timeliness, politeness, stable awareness of the linguistic situation or the choices that open moments of chances. Kairos is making good luck, like when you fall into the arms of the man you love after a long day at work.

Pathos
Because understanding is a matter of feeling as well as perceiving, pathos can give access to nonlogical, but not necessarily nonrational, ways of knowing. Pathos elucidate what is deeply at stake in an issue, what matters to the whole person. Pathos help readers see through the writer's eyes. Of course, that is why arguements are often improved through the use of stories that make problems come alive or sensory details the allow us to view, feel, and taste the reality of problems. Opening narratives to evoke pathos can be powerfully effective, but they are also risky. If they are a little too personal, to self revolving, or even too sentimental they can backfire. So, beware.

Ethos
Ethos filter the projected image of the writer as a person will be subtly altered. To make an effective Ethos you must: be knowledgeable about your situation, be fair, build to your audience, and demonstrate professionalism.
The primary way to earn credibility, is to be plausible, that is to vacillate from a strong base of knowledge, to have a hand at the examples.
The secondary way to earn credibility, is to be fair by demonstrating fairness and courtesy to alternative views you will be able to earn credibility.
The tertiary way to earn credibility, is to build a bridge to your audience, by showing the audience that you are a trustworthy person and building up your reputation in a way.
And lastly, to earn credibility you must simply proofread, use careful and appropriate style editing, accurate documentation, and adherence to genre convention expected by your audience all contribute the image of the person behind the writing. Or, in other words demonstrate professionalism.
Those are perfect ways to enhance your Ethos.

Black Friday vs. Cyber Monday
Choose Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
Well let's just say I don't really vote for either.
Why? Well I believe that those days are one of the most dangerous days of the year.
I mean think about it, people speeding to make it to a store just in time, people pushing and shoving, fighting and arguing. All that over some purse! Fascinating how us humans, will do anything for material things, actually not how fascinating, but how sad is it? I'm pretty sure some of us aren't like that well we can be without knowing.

APA Format
When I thought I was just getting things. Well I guess I was dead wrong. This APA Format will be the death of me! Not only can't I do it. But, I can't find anyone else who can do it for me to learn from that person. It has nothing to do with my teacher. It is just me. I just find the concept very complex. I mean I'm trying really hard and I really want to pass this. Of course because I like a challenge. Well, I at least I thought I did. Hopefully what I'm doing is write, because if not, I'm definatley going to look like a lost student. But for now I'll just keep trying.

Can't Wait Till the Holidays Come
Can you believe it at least seven more weeks till the holidays!
I don't even know what my daughter wants.
Probably those concert tickets her and her garrolous friends have been talking about non stop.
Or maybe even that sweater that her favorite singer has.
All the things she wants, hopefully I can narrow it down. But my main question should be, what are you guys doing for the holidays?

Elections, Not Going According to Plan
So I was one of the unlucky voters who voted for one particular party. I mean it's ok that he lost, I'm not going to go on some rant spree and destroy any of the other party voters. After all, that is not me. For one, even if my party did lose, it's not like me going on a rant would make him win. Honestly, I think that no matter who won and who lost, at the end of the day their is honestly nothing, absolutely nothing we can do about it. Unless there happened to be a miss count in that case there is something we can do about it.

Midterm Nightmare
Midterms is so stressful, you have a ton of work and barely enough time to complete it. Not only do I agree. But, so does my daughter,we had an hour long conversation on how stressful midterms are. But, I actually have a few tips on how to maintain a calm spirit during these times.
Tip Number 1: Don't Cram
Don't wait until the night before to cram in all those notes from weeks before. Unless, that is the only time you get to study then go for it. But, never cram in all those tough notes!
Tip Number 2: Disconnect
For all my social media addicts this might be tough. Disconnect from all social medias, not for good. But, maybe just delete the app for the time being, just to stay focus.
Tip Number 3:Attend review sessions, study groups
Try your hardest to attend study groups, and those types of events. For those who can't make it don't worry come up with a method of study that is compatibly with your schedule. But for those who spend that free time, taking naps. I would advice you to make a bed time and come to the study group sessions.
Tip Number 4: Skim
Right before you take your test it is always helpful to skim through your notes. Most people say that's a myth, but it just real depends on who you are and how you function. Going through all your notes might not be possible. But, just fitting in a few a extra things here and there will really help you.
Tip Number 5 (last tip): Relax
A major thing that sometimes throws people off in the middle of the exam is the worry of not passing. If you keep your mind clear or far from those thoughts. You'll have a higher chances of passing then you did when you were worrying.

Halloween Safety
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Just had to get that out there, but not only do I want all your kids to have a a happy Halloween. I want them to have a safe one. Like every parent, we want our kids to have fun, but, we want them to be safe. So here is my guideline to a safe and super cool Halloween.
Let's use my daughter as an example, she is dressed as Rosie the Riveter. Now, I know Rosie didn't have a mini side pouch. But my Rosie will. Why? Well I want my daughter to be able to have access to the following: a flashlight, mini scissors, matches, and some Germ X. I know why all the stuff, well each of these items can not only keep her safe. But, she can also use as self defense tools. Like, the Germ X; she could throw or rub that in her attackers eyes With the flashlight, she can find her way out of the dark, same with the matches. And with the the mini scissors, she can cut her out of a trap, and hurt her attacker. I recommend you don't give this to any child from the ages: 4-11. And, for all the girls who wanna be Disney Princesses, just strap this under your dress and there you have it. A safety kit to keep your kid in safe condition for the night. Especially if they are they type who hang out with friends instead of with you this kit is great for them.
You can find the stuff in the pouch, and the pouch itself at any dollar store.

Argumentative Writing
Argumentative writing is just like arguing. But, in words when we use this type of writing, it's usually to state a point. When I first heard of this type of writing I surprisingly knew what it meant and how to use it. But I struggled with it for awhile. The part where I struggled with it was putting all I knew into words to form an argumentative essay. But once you sit down and take your time to comprehend the subject you will automatically understand it.

How Clumsy Can I get?
I mean I know I'm clumsy, but this is just ridiculous! I woke all peaceful Sunday morning, I even put on my favorite dress to go to church. On my way down the stairs, I slipped on something I not yet sure what. But, whatever it was had me tumbling down the stairs like a ball on a hill.Till I landed on my behind with a big "Thump!" At first I felt nothing I was okay, or so I thought I was. On my way inside my house after a long stop at Walmart. I got inside, and was heading up those evil stairs to my room. Once I made it to my room and sat down that's when I felt it. Boy oh boy was I in pain. I couldn't sit still for more than ten minutes. Till at one point I was laying on my stomach (something I rarely do). when I got up to examine my wounded bottom, I saw something that I never thought I'd see in my life. My bottom, my poor, poor bottom, was cursed with bruises! Nothing I did could help subside the pain, not even for five minutes. This pain was so drastic that I couldn't even show up to class tonight! I am never one to miss class, but this, this is worse than I thought. Thank God I didn't brake anything. How clumsy can I get!

The Best Puppy Ever, Sadly, I Can't Afford it
Gosh all the puppies and I still managed to classify one as my favorite. The English Bulldog,oh the love I feel for this dog. My daughter is obsessed with the dog. Funny how she dragged me into her world of "Fandom". I could listen to her babble all day about how perfect her dream dog is, or how if she had one she would name it Pumpkin. even though I've constantly told her time and time before that a dog won't work with our budget. I just hate seeing the look on her face, just that look of disappointment it kills me. I've even seen her try to save up her money but selling her old iPhone cases to be able to adopt the puppy and support it. She's even brought up the subject of her getting a job, mind you she's only 14 years old. It touches my heart to see her try to save up for something she wants. It shows me that she is a very devout and bright girl and I love her. One day I hope I will be able to get her the dog of her dreams. The English Bulldog.

Acute Sleep Deprivation in College
Lack of sleep is not healthy. But it seems that sleep deprivation occurs mostly in students from ages 11-38. Some stay up on their phones all night talking to friends while others stay up doing late night studying. Either way, they need sleep. Some try to set up bedtimes, others try making a schedule to keep them in order and not up all night trying to cram in some last minute studying. But,they still can't seem to stray from sleep deprivation. Some even have terrible hallucination due to lack of sleep. So for all the girls who enjoy late night, and for those who need to cram in a little bit of those notes from last week. Keep in mind that this can lead to sleep deprivation.

Writing with authority...To me writing with authority is like writing with restrictions. Or, writing with rules. Theses rules are pretty simple to follow; Rule 1: Write with Knowledge, Rule 2: Write with Skill, and Rule 3: Write with Integrity. All these rules or guidelines should help you become a better writer. Most importantly, don't just assume you know the rules make sure you look into them and understand them.Even though you may make a couple of "boo- boos" on the way. Just keep theses great rules in mind and you will be able to point out and correct you mistakes as you go.

post 3: Books issue
Last week in class one of the groups were discussing the book issue we having at the school.
I myself cannot afford the books from the school they are too expensive, on top of the tuition I have to pay monthly. one of the groups from our English class came up with a brilliant idea for the students to create a webpage if a student have a book and the done with the class they can let other student know they have a book for rent, or for sell instead of spending hundreds of dollars on books we barely use in the classes. Another thing most of the professor post their power points on ecompanion for every chapter why can we just use the power points instead. We in school to better our self, but the school make it so hard to achieve because all they want is money.

Post 2: Childcare in campus
One of the most common problem single women are having when it come to going back to school is childcare. Most of us don't have a family member to babysit. I believe more women would attend school if the schools have a daycare or night care program for the students that need help with babysitting. I think more students that are single parents would further their educations, and actually accomplish their goal without dropping out of school.

Post Title: Better Computers
The school should provide a better web browser for the students to use because, we pay our money to continue our studies and try our hardest to pass. With the technology we use today, the school should not contradict the thought of providing the student with better computer.
With a better computers, the student can access the web with no trouble, and be able to turn in or complete their assignments with no problem. The the students and the professors will be provided with the right equipment to teach us, the student. And, providing the faculty and students with better computers can also not only help improve the amount of assignments returned from the students. But it can also help provide the students with the sagacity they need to prosper in life.
