Writing with authority...To me writing with authority is like writing with restrictions. Or, writing with rules. Theses rules are pretty simple to follow; Rule 1: Write with Knowledge, Rule 2: Write with Skill, and Rule 3: Write with Integrity. All these rules or guidelines should help you become a better writer. Most importantly, don't just assume you know the rules make sure you look into them and understand them.Even though you may make a couple of "boo- boos" on the way. Just keep theses great rules in mind and you will be able to point out and correct you mistakes as you go.

  1. That's a great way to look at pulling authority into your documents. Also choosing a topic that you're interested in researching or that you can relate to can make all the difference in the authority that you are able to communicate in your writing.
